Our 5 data centres are strategically located across the UK and offer over 4,850m² of fully cooled, secure and resilient data centre space. iomart hosting has equipped all the facilities to exceed 'best practise' and meet future computing trends such as virtualisation, high density computing, cloud services, energy conservation, distributed storage and multi site disaster recovery.

Each centre provides you with access to some of the best IP networks in the business ensuring optimum connectivity performance. We offer a range of colocation options - from single 1u in a shared rack through to private colocation suites to suit your requirements. Each data centre is supported by our onsite 24 x 7 Network Operations Centre team ensuring that we are never far away if you require our help or expertise.

Colocation 1u

The iomart Hosting data centre estate totals 4,850m² of highly resilient and secure space, with centres sited in London, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leicester & Maidenhead gives you the perfect environment for housing your 1U equipment. Each data centre is totally secure, highly resilient and designed to cope with future computing demands. As a colocation 1u customer, you benefit from the same functionality and feature sets that our large multi rack customers do.

Colocation Racks

iomart hosting utilises the Rittal 19" Rack Server 42U 600mm x1000mm as standard throughout its data centre estate. This rack was selected as its design assists iomart Hosting with both the physical security and climate control of the servers housed within it.

Ventilation is supplied via perforated front and rear ventilated door with open area of 78 %. Each rack features a 4 point locking system with the enclosure frame featuring steel doors front and rear. Baying is offered on all sides, with the frame section offering unlimited mounting diversity. All racks have PIN locked doors and access is only available to our customers or their nominated contractors. As every iomart Hosting data centre has a dedicated NOC team available, the facility to install and position pre-populated racks is available.

Colocation Suites

We design and build private and shared colocation suites for organisations that require additional privacy, coupled with additional space, for their IT systems. Based on your own specialist power and space requirements, our team of technical experts will configure and create a custom colocation suite built to your specifications.
